An extremely rare and exciting opportunity has a risen for an experienced residential children’s worker to join an established team in Nottingham supporting a small number of children aged 4 – 16 with a learning disability in a residential setting.

My client is a privately owned care provider who owns a number of Specialist Residential care homes for children with learning disabilities and complex needs.

My client is seeking a strong, experienced and motivated individual with drive and commitment who is seeking a new exciting challenge. You must have relevant social care experience with children and the NVQ 3 in Working with Children and Young People. You will have experience of working with challenging behaviours and an understanding of the needs of traumatised children, alongside excellent communication and listening skills. Successful candidates will have a demonstrable, creative approach to meeting needs. You will creatively contribute to an environment where our small group of children live, learn and work together and confidently provide safe, positive, person centred living experiences focused on need and outcomes.

•Assessing each resident’s needs and progress
•Providing physical care
•Offering one-to-one support
•Providing leisure and creative opportunities

1. Relevant experience in the required field
2. NVQ Level 3 in Care
